MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally to Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was made available by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. The following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He released Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album the following year. Then in 2021 he sang an duet with TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised within a musical family, since both his mom and his older brother are musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is compulsory. When he was a kid, he began learning to play saxophone guitar ukulele and piano. His initial goal was to be a veterinarian, His brother Julian advised him to go for singing lessons with a Cuban teacher and the end result personally discovering his talent as a performer changed the direction of his life.
